Tenerife Trips
One of the really great ways to see Tenerife is by boat!
One of the main departure points for many such trips is Puerto Colon in Costa Adeje, in the south of the island not far from Playa de las Americas.
There are several varities of cruise available and some can even be privately booked. The ever popular dolphin and whale trips are generally regarded as a fun way to spend a couple of hours and with a better than average chance of seeing either whales or dolphins – both if you are lucky.
Most of the boats who offer these trips contain a well stocked refreshments bar on board and some even give the opportunity for an off the back of the boat swim before returning to port. Please remember it is a great way to get a tan too, so remember the suntan cream!
Other cruises examine the rugged coastline of Tenerife from a unique perspective, including the truly spectacular cliffs of Los Gigantes.
If you fancy something a little more romantic, try one of the sunset cruises; on a beautiful evening there is really nothing quite like it.
Other trip options include glamorous high speed boats, or at a more sedate pace, glass bottom boats provide an unusual way of examining marine life below the surface. Speaking of which there is now an even more unusual way of doing this - submarine tours – yes you did hear right!
